There’s nothing quite like an LGBTQ+ event to fill Provincetown’s streets with joy, color, and celebration. Events like Carnival in August bring the town to life, drawing nearly 90, people to join in the fun, especially for the dazzling parade down Commercial Street. Provincetown Massachusetts is well known for its lgbtq+Q+ community and hosts exciting gay events, throughout the year.

1. Provincetown Carnival; This annual week long celebration, held in August attracts visitors from across the globe. The event features parades costumes, live music, dance parties and a joyous ambiance. Gay Provincetown Events include Provincetown Pride in June, Bear Week in July, Independence weekend, Holly Folly, Spooky Bear and the White Party.

This FREE event will feature LGBTQ+ artisans, vendors, cash bar and the supporters of Provincetown Pride. The Pride Market is made by possible by Bike. Join us on the steps of Town Hall for the Provincetown Pride Rally — a joyful, powerful celebration of identity, visibility, and community.

Thanks to the hard work of Family Equality and COLAGE , each day will be filled with programming options for the whole family as well as individual age groups. Ready to start the party early? After a week of meeting other gay and lesbian parents at the beach, they invited about 15 of those families to their rental for dinner—and so the magic of Family Week was created!

In the decades that followed, Family Week evolved to become a safe haven for all queer-identified families—found, formed, and chosen—to create friendship and fun.
